Eles School & OEDSI

In February of 2005, the MPA joined forces with the Organization for Education and Science Integration, an UK-based NGO.  OEDSI has linked the MPA virtually to a school in the United States.  The children of Eles Primary School here on Nguna Island have "chatted" with their counterparts through an internet forum about the environment, conservation and life in general.  Waste management education is also incorporated into the school curriculum. And the documentary Solwota Story was recently completed, featuring the ways a small island community focuses on preserving natural resources.
