The Nguna-Pele Marine Protected Area is grateful for any donations that allow us to continue our important conservation efforts. In-kind equipment donations are much appreciated; the MPA currently has a particular need for the following:
We are happy to discuss shipping options with you but please note that we do not have funds available to cover shipping costs. Monetary donations may be made via check or wire. Your financial contribution of 5000 vatu or more may also be used to sponsor a sea turtle in your name. For contributions of 3000 vatu or more we can send you a handsome MPA t-shirt as soon as a new supply is available (we are currently designing and ordering new shirts).
Tax Deductible Donations (U.S. Only): If you would like the donation to be considered an official tax-deductible donation, you may donate to the NPMPA via Peace Corps' In-Kind Donation Option. Please contact John Hrivinak at jhrivnak@peacecorps.gov, (202)692-2182. When you contact John let him know what you would like to donate, what value you would like to claim, and that the donation is for Vanuatu. He will then send you an in-kind donation form that you must sign and return to him.

This is an amazing experience not available anywhere else! The Nguna-Pele Marine Protected Area sees hundreds of sea turtles pass through each year on migration routes to and from breeding grounds. Hawksbill and Green Sea Turtles swim through our reefs daily. Our MPA staff can take you on an once-in-a-lifetime night snorkel to catch one of these magnificent creatures. Of course, we are not hunting them as our ancestors would, but are part of a regional tag-and-release conservation project. Once the turtle is measured and tagged, you will have the opportunity to give it a name that will be entered into the global turtle database. This is an experience not to miss!
