September 18, 2004--

A film crew of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's "Foreign Correspondent" visited the MPA to film a short documentary dealing with the budding aquarium trade in Vanuatu.  Senior Reporter and Producer Marc Corcoran went in-depth to interview the industry insiders.  After sessions with the Fisheries Department, SRS, and the Tourism Association, ABC-TV came to the Nguna-Pele MPA seeking answers from the village point of view.  After interviews with Resident Marine Biologist Chris Bartlett, and demonstrations by local chiefs, ABC was able to show both the positive and negative sides of the industry.
